Hi, I’m Stephanie

My passion is to help my clients find deeper healing so they can experience more fulfilling relationships—with themselves, with others, and with life.

I believe it’s important for our innermost worries and concerns to be seen so they can be understood and supported. You don’t have to hide who you are or how you’re really feeling with me. My hope is to create a judgment-free space where the most vulnerable parts of you feel safe to show up and do the deeper healing work you’re seeking. Together, we’ll work on breaking unhelpful patterns and building skills that help you move through life’s ups and downs with more confidence and peace.

If you’re looking for a therapist who’s walked their own therapy path and views growth as a lifelong journey, we might be a great fit. I still turn to therapy when I need it and believe it’s something we can return to in different seasons of life, whenever support feels necessary.

I genuinely care about your experience and always welcome feedback. If something I say doesn’t sit right or you want me to better understand something, please tell me—your voice matters here.

I usually work with adults and teen girls (13+). I don’t view any issues as too big or too small to seek support for. I’m here for it.

More about me…

Stephanie Abeyta, LCSW

Education & Experience

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a variety of settings—including teen residential programs, inpatient mental health crisis units, and, for the past four years, outpatient therapy.

In addition to my outpatient work, I spent three years providing Ketamine-Assisted Therapy as a contracted clinician, supporting clients navigating treatment-resistant conditions. I enjoy working with both teens and adults, and I’m passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel empowered in their healing process.

Trainings & Modalities

I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), parts work based on Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), but customize sessions to each person.

I completed my EMDR training in 2021 while I was an intern and jumped right in! Seeing the progression of clients utilizing EMDR therapy in sessions solidified my trust in it being a very helpful and effective modality. I still regularly seek out consultation so I can keep improving my skills.

I am also IFS-informed and enjoy incorporating parts work into EMDR. Doing parts work with my own therapist sparked my desire to learn more and utilize it in sessions with my clients. I started with reading books, then attended an IFS training by Richard Schwartz (creator of IFS) in 2024.

Outside the Therapy Room

I love spending time with my husband, daughter, and pup. We enjoy getting out of the house—even if it’s just a quick visit to Gardner Village or Scheels. I also enjoy hiking, running, and working out at OrangeTheory Fitness.

I usually have some type of collection going; in the past, it’s been Funko Pops, and right now it’s crystals and gems. I’m also part of a fun little book club.

I value quality time, honesty, and a good sense of humor—both in and outside of the therapy room. As a partner, parent, and business owner, I understand how challenging it can be to juggle multiple roles while still trying to prioritize your own well-being. I have respect for anyone who makes the effort to begin the process of healing and growth, even while carrying so many other responsibilities.

I specialize in:
